Set finder as viewer of directories in midnight commander macos

0

Recently I've started to use mc as my default "file manager", this way I can move photos to my external hard disk using the native ntfs support, since it's look like apple haven't added the support for ntfs to finder.app yet.

I have added a few changes to make my photos management a little bit easier. Here is my mc.ext file:

regex/.*.jpg|.*.JPG
Open=open %f
View=open %t
Edit=open -a /Application/GIMP.app %f

I still have a few question about mc:

  • is it possible to change a directory viewer? I've tried to read the manual page and I haven't find any clear hints about the topic. I would like to tell mc to open directories normally when I press enter, and open them in finder if I press f3 key.

  • is there the possibility to add auto compilation? When I press tab mc takes me to the next pseudo graphic element of its interface. It makes difficult using cd command.

I will appreciate any help.
Thanks.
