SO basically recently my old bootloader died on me and i installed ubuntu on my 2gb usb since i did not have a 8gb drive i could not install windows via my usb so instead i used an iso mounted it extracted it and then i put it into a hardrive formatted to ntfs sda1 then i used grub 2 and made a menu entry however when i try to install via grub it says unknown filesystem menu entry

menuentry 'Windows 10' {
set root=(hd0)
insmod part_msdos
insmod ntfs
insmod ntldr
drivemap -s (hd0) ${root}
ntldr /bootmgr
}

I just get unknown filesystem ive updated gub and tried to fix it however none of it has worked i just get sent back to grub menu and dont get grub rescue

  • Could you please rewrite completely the question specifying exactly the steps you made, what do you expect and what it happen? Also, a more extensive and precise title will bring more eyes.
