Changing service user account
I'd like to set particular user account as a service user account (to run a service with privileges of that user). I have an administrator user account (say Jonh) with no password set. Now when i try to set a service user account to John a have a problem. When i set a blank password i get "The service does not start due to a login failure
" error message when i try to start a service. Am i right that the password in "Log on" tab in the service startup options have to be the same as system user password set during user creation? If so is it possible to set user account which have no system password set?
PS.
I'm using standard Services
GUI tool found in Control Panel.

I think your answer can be found in superuser.com/questions/1382572/… - also make sure the account has rights to "log on as a service", per social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/ie/en-US/…
