.xsession-errors.old file extremely too large

0

I use UbuntuStudio 18.04.1 LTS into a Intel i5 (64 bits) machine, with 8 GB RAM and 1 TB HDD, partitioned into 3 different destination filesystems (one to the OS, one to my personal files and one as personal files backup).

I had a Wine app crashing and then I couldn't upgrade the system (a lot of errors).

Then I discovered that the main HDD partition (where the system is) was full!

So... I started to look into the File Manager App to look for why it appeared as full and... I discovered that there was a file called: .xsession-errors.old which had... MORE THAN 160 GIGABYTES!

Why??? I don't have any clue!

So... I erased that file and... Magically everything was working so fine, again!

How can I avoid this in the future?
