Ubuntu 16.04.5 Login Loop

I am struck at the login loop on my Ubuntu 16.04.5 . The situation background goes as , everything was working fine until I changed my password and it didn't accept it after next login . So I did a root password reset and now struck at this login loop . I do not know the reason for this and am using a ASUS ROG GL553VD laptop with dual boot alongside Windows 10
