avahi-daemon won't install on Ubuntu server 16.04
My home network has a single Ubuntu 16.04 server, I can't see the server from other Linux clients. I found this article on TechRepublic (https://www.techrepublic.com/article/how-to-make-your-linux-machines-visible-to-other-linux-machines/) and am trying to install avahi-daemon.
The install does not succeed. The command line responses are:
E: Waited for /usr/sbin/dpkg-preconfigure --apt || true but it wasn't there
E: Failure running script /usr/sbin/dpkg-preconfigure --apt || true
Thank you in advance for help/advice to get this installed.
