I have a Jenkins parameter job to deploy artifacts to the remote server. I wrote a shell script to check whether there is a directoy called backup in /var/www/test.com path if not create a directory. It is working fine on jenkins. Now I want to store that shell script in GitLab repository and run from Jenkins workspace.

SQLPATH="/var/lib/jenkins/workspace/Test_Backend_Parameterized_Deployment_Clone/test-inventory-backendcode/"
DESTINATION="/var/www/test.com/"
DEVSERVER=test@192.168.94.139

#copy test.sql to development server
copySQLDevServer(){

sudo scp $SQLPATH/test.sql $DEVSERVER:$DESTINATION

}

copySQLDevServer

I tried this.

cd "$WORKSPACE/test-inventory-backendcode/scripts" ;sudo chmod +x test.sh ; ./test.sh

It worked. Is it the accurate way to do this?
