I installed Ubuntu 18.10. After that, I updated and upgraded it.
My problem is: when I try to install any software, either via Ubuntu software or via Terminal, it's suddenly restart (many times). My software I try to install are Avogadro, notepadqq, dropbox, etc.
How to solve that problem?
Thanks all!

  • What do you mean easy to restart? Can you clarify why is that a problem? Or is the problem like this? "my computer restarts when I use apt-get install"

  • ah, I edited my question again. "suddenly", not "easily". So sr!

  • no problem, that's what I figured :) Please do the following: run apt-get like this: apt-get install packagename > my-apt-log.txt and then post the log to the question so we can see in which step it exactly fails.

  • strange. I follow what you said. But, after restarting, I open the file txt but it is blank. Look like the operation system did delete the content of such file if the installing is fail.

  • are you sure your disk can be written onto? can you try to add a file to it via touch myfile.log command, modify it gedit myfile.log and save it? I just checked and sudo apt-get install php7.2 > my-apt.log works for me and produces nice log file
