Synchronizing Tomboy between Win 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 using a USB Stick

0

I have Tomboy on Ubuntu 16.04. I have Tomboy in Win 10.

I would like to copy the notebooks from the Ubuntu machine onto the Win 10 machine via USB, and vice versa, on a daily basis.

1 - Is this feasible?
2 - Will the notebooks and links be preserved?
3 - Will the formatting (such as it is) be preserved?
4 - Will it take one or two extra steps (text converter, Saving in the USB in a 3rd format), as opposed to 9 or 10 (Copying and pasting text by hand and fixing all formatting errors manually)?

Background: I recently purchased a small Samsung laptop that uses ssd storage, and the forums I've looked in have said that linux doesn't work and play well with the Samsung configuration of the SSD hw.

I use Tomboy like they pay me by the word. It is as simple as I need it to be. I'd like to keep a USB stick handy for transferring an archive of notebooks from one machine to the other.

My work has a robust firewall, and cloud synching isn't really an option. a USB would a little primitive, but should work well enough for now.
