Bluetooth Speakers and connectivity

My Bluetooth speaker (Bose mini sound link ) disconnects automatically on my Ubuntu 18.04 bionic .
after restarting it works but then again stops by itself .
when i check in the connection settings it shows connected but then if i want to re-pair my speakers the Bluetooth settings hang and i have to wait for sometime.
It started after i upgraded from 16 to 18.
I am quite new to Linux environment and any help would be highly appreciated .
