Brother DSP-2550DL Driver Issue and Ubuntu 18.04

I'm using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and have a Brother DSP-2550DL Laser Printer connected to my WiFi. Prior to two days ago, everything worked fine with the only issue being that there was a weird pause between document prints if I was making multiple copies. Multiple paged documents printed with no issues. The pause bothered me. So I thought, hmm maybe the automatically added printer is the problem and perhaps I should try to install the Brother official driver for linux and that will fix it.
The result?
Nothing prints now. I can see the printer and send prints to it but nothing happens with the printer itself, it just sits there. Deleting and re-adding the printer solves nothing. I've even tried using the other drivers that Ubuntu suggests when I add the printer.
When I send something to print either nothing happens or I receive an error message stating "Error Connect-to-Device" or "Out of Paper" neither of which are true.
As a last ditch effort, I thought, maybe I should just re-install that Brother driver again. So I download it again, follow the instructions on the website and this is the result...
root@XXXXXX:/home/XXXXXXX# cd Downloads
root@XXXXXXX:/home/XXXXXXXXX/Downloads# bash linux-brprinter-installer-2.2.1-1 DCP-L2550DW
Do you want to specify a PROXY server? [y/N] ->N
Unable to get the server information. Please check the network settings.
Over and over again and I'm not sure how to get out of it (I don't use a Proxy server) and I'm not sure what I need to do to get my printer working again.
Help?
PS. Here are the other drivers that were suggested to me and that I have tried: Gutenprint (listed as "DSP-2550DL series- Driverless" when I look at the printer after adding. This one gets automatically suggested whenever I add the printer again), "Brother DCP-L2550DW series, driverless, cups-filters 1.20.2", and "Brother DCPL2550DW for Cups" (this one actually shows up twice in a row in the database list and neither of them work).
PPS. Sorry for the lengthy post, I just wanted to include as much as possible.
