How can I modify hotkeys for google sheets (or perhaps any site)?

I'm looking for a means to disable and/or remap a few hotkeys from Google sheets.
In particular, Meta+Enter for new lines has got me messed up bad. I never knew how widely used this key combo is, but some bad muscle memory has me hitting it in all sorts of apps and sites and the results vary from obnoxious to destructive. Be warned.
Potential Solutions:
Update keyboard command, not an option in google sheets
If there's a plugin for overriding google sheets keymaps, that'd be great. I was hoping to find a vim one, but couldn't.
- If there's a plugin for remapping certain key inputs depending on your url, that would also rock (couldn't find one though).
- If nothing like this exists, I can perhaps write one, but that's a pretty large time sink. I know that you can't modify key presses from js, so maybe this whole thing is undoable in the first place.
Ultimately, I'm at my wits end. I need to use sheets for this project, but I can't keep wrecking my muscle memory like this.
