Can't unlock OSD on a Lenovo ThinkVision L2251p
I got an old monitor, but I can't unlock it's OSD. The manual says to hold the "<-" button for ten seconds, but it does nothing. The only thing I can do is to open the input menu. When I close the menu, there is a "Power save mode" text on screen for 3 seconds and then the power led turns amber. At that point all other buttons are unresponsive except input and power.
I've tried pressing the "<-" with the input menu open, in powersave and while it's off. Btw, the power button does not turn the monitor on if any other button is pressed.
Any ideas? Is there a way to reset the CMOS or something?
edit: I circumvented the issue by connecting a computer to the monitor through VGA. Then it won't enter power saving mode, and I can unlock/lock the OSD using the "<-" button. The original issue/question remains, though: how to unlock the OSD if you don't have a VGA source available.

I might add that the use case I'd like to use the monitor with is to plug a Raspberry Pi into it. The monitor has a DisplayPort and I have a HDMI->Displayport cable I'm trying to use, but the monitor does not detect the Raspberry Pi.

I just noticed that the graphic on the cable (Hama 00054594) has the display on the HDMI side. Is it possible that it doesn't work both ways?

It seems my cable only works the other way around. Resolved the issue with a HDMI -> VGA adapter and a VGA cable.
