in LUBUNTU I installed gimp then i installed my paint it deleted gimp

I go to install gimp it says it will delete my paint so in lubuntu can I not have both, i use both as an artist ? Is there a way around this ? so I can have both gimp and my paint?

I agree with @user535733 comment above. Can you please edit your question and add more detail and copy and paste the text from the terminal of what you are trying to install. As a test I just installed bothgimp
andmypaint
without any problems.
