João Gilberto Noll (Porto Alegre, 15 de abril de 1946 — Porto Alegre, 28 de março de 2017) foi um escritor brasileiro, vencedor de cinco prêmios Jabuti.[1] Em 1992, escreveu seu primeiro texto para teatro, Quero Sim, dirigida por Marcos Barreto e encenada por Luciano Souza (Ganhador do Sated RS de melhor ator) e Marco Beck.

Cursou Letras da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), onde foi colega de Caio Fernando Abreu, porém concluiu seus estudos na Faculdade Notre Dame do Rio de Janeiro.[2] Nesta cidade, ele trabalhou como jornalista e, em São Paulo, como revisor.
Em 1980, publicou o livro de contos O Cego e a Dançarina, pelo qual recebeu diversos prêmios, tais como revelação do ano, da Associação Paulista de Críticos de Arte (APCA), ficção do ano, do Instituto Nacional do Livro, e o Prêmio Jabuti, da Câmara Brasileira do Livro.
Um dos contos desse livro de estreia, Alguma coisa urgentemente, foi adaptado pelo cinema brasileiro sob o título Nunca fomos tão felizes, em 1983. Harmada, sob a direção de Maurice Capovilla em 2003, e Hotel Atlântico, direção de Suzana Amaral em 2009, também foram adaptados para o cinema.[3]
O autor também foi selecionado para figurar no livro Os cem melhores contos brasileiros do século, em 2000.
Noll foi bolsista e professor convidado da Universidade de Berkeley, nos Estados Unidos. Também foi escritor residente no King's College, em Londres, em 2004. A partir de sua experiência na Inglaterra, ele escreveu o livro Lorde.

This question is a follow up of this one. I am trying to run a command through the command line on a remote machine running Windows 7 from a workstation running Debian in an SSH session on that machine. The setup is basically as follows: debian box 1 === (SSH) ===> debian box 2 === (RDP) ===> Windows 7 I have tried running rdesktop from debian box 2 : rdesktop <Windows 7 box network address> -u username -p password -r disk:local="./TestRDP" -s "cmd.exe /K net use C: \\tsclientlocal & C:\test.bat & logoff" but cmd.exe is not launched on the remote device. So, my friend has been trying to install Matlab 2018b and he has encountered the following message just after the installation reaches 100%. Matlab installation additional configuration steps message I did some digging around in the Matlab forums and found out that to use the additional components, one should install a compiler and then use the following commands: mex -setup C mex -setup C++ Can anyone help me regarding this error? If this is indeed the solution then how can I execute those steps? Also, he says that even if he presses next, he cannot use matlab. The OS in use is Windows 10.
