Can Ping new I-Series from old I-Series, but can't ping it from Windows pc

0

I can ping a new IBM I-Series from the old I-Series (using I-Series cmd line), but I can't ping it from my pc (cmd prompt). Any suggestions?

  • Are you using ip address? Same subnet? What have you got for routing table (cfgtcp, option2) on new machine? You should have something like this archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200208/msg01073.html

  • I am using IP address and both I-series are in the same subnet.

  • I'm not sure how the routing table on the new machine is set up but I will compare that to the old machine since I can ping the old one with my pc. Thanks for your help. Linda
