Login loop, Ubuntu 18.04 (with logs)
I'm running Ubuntu 18.04 on a dell xps 9560 with nvidia graphics, and I cannot login into my main desktop account. I followed all other instructions I found in forums or blogs, including reinstalling Xorg, Nvidia drives, and other display managers (currently using gdm3), but nothing worked. By the way, I'm using intel graphics (prime-select intel
), so I guess the problem is not the nvidia drives.
In particular, I already did everything in this post.
The issue started after my computer screen froze one time and I force quit by holding the power button. Since then, I was able to create other accounts in the machine, which work perfectly. However, I still cannot login with my main account (except in the terminal).
I think that my computer logs might say what the issue is, but I don't understand everything, and I would like to know what I should be looking for. Here go Xorg.1.log
, .xsession-errors
, and .xsession-errors.old
.
Thank you in advance for the help!
