After installing lubuntu on an extended windows 7 partition Samsung laptop doesn’t boot at all

I started the latest version from a usb stick. During installation I deleted the extended partition and created / /boot/efi and /home partitions on it. The installation proceeded normally. Message ‘remove’ installation media and click enter. It booted to Lubuntu. After restarting it tried to boot, I see Samsung logo and some message at the bottom and then it restarts. With the stick the behavior is the same. F10 gives me BIOS like screen with only boot meenu with one item only Ubuntu. Clicking enter does nothing, exiting leads to previous behavior (attempts to boot in a loop).
The instructions from the installer were slightly different that on the doc page. I used the partitioning program from the main menu of the running lubuntu.
I cannot access the full BIOS.
So now it neither boots from disk, nor usb stick.
Is there a way to recover? To repair mbr, to boot to anything to possibly repair the partitions. I don’t have a windows 7 disk anymore. I have access to another windows machine (10) and a Mac.
