Cannot complete Installation of Ubuntu alongside Windows 10

I have an New Intel NUC, and it was preconfigured with Windows 10 installed on it.
When I boot the USB with Ubuntu, I do not see the UEFI formatted disk drive (it's a 1 TB Drive). So the installation cannot proceed because the Partition map does not load.
How do I either erase the Windows 10 system, so that I can see the map, or what BIOS Settings need to be enabled for the installation to continue?
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo parted -l
Warning: Not all of the space available to /dev/sda appears to be used, you can
fix the GPT to use all of the space (an extra 4544 blocks) or continue with the
current setting?
Fix/Ignore? i

I have followed every article to a T. Including updating the BIOS, and enabling/disabling both Secure Boot and UEFI. Unfortunately, the installer cannot list the partitions in the drive for the installation. It fails everytime. Anyother suggestions, hints, or solutions? Thank you.

I have the Intel NUC version NUC7i5BNHXF, and I am trying to install 18.10 Desktop. Is there any logical reason why this is not going to work?

when I attempt to run gparted, I get the following pop-up message: Could not stat device /dev/mapper/isw: untested metada version 1.4.01 found on /dev/sda - No such file or directory. gparted does recognize the drive, and the partitions.

Do you already have LVM install or RAID? the /dev/mapper is normally LVM. If RAID, turn off RAID setting and use AHCI. Gparted does not work on LVM, only on partitions, not volumes. Post this:sudo parted -l
