Is it possible to audit or log the network traffic generated by a given Chrome plugin?

Why? It appears that tab manager plugins in Chrome require extensive permissions, since they all seem to require permission to "Read and change all your data on the websites you visit":

Google chrome permission - Read and change all your data

Some tab managers, including the one installed above, do promise:

"Information about your tabs are never transmitted or disclosed to the
OneTab developers."

But I wish to verify that assertion is likely true. It seems that a tab manager could be a very powerful tool for spying, if weaponized for such a task.

I am aware that Chrome has a built in tab suspender, accessible via:
chrome://discards/
Which presumably offers lesser exposure, compared to a third party plugin.
