I have a ubuntu 18.04. I already installed qjacktl and qsynth. I can run them, but literally no sound at all. the midi keyboard is connected, the soundfonts have been loaded. No sound at all. Pls help.

  • Can you give more details? Do the programs register the key presses? Have you tried different sound fonts?

  • Dear Steve! Thx 4 your reaction. I'm a bit newbie to the ubuntu world, so therefore my answer (which is a question) might sound totally dumb, but how can one tell that the program register the key presses? But i think not. I see no change whatsoever, though i opened hte output peak level meter and it's totally dark.
