Enter button does not send message in WhatsApp, Gmail web clients on 18.04.1 LTS
Using WhatsApp web client on Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS on Dell G5 notebook (fresh install). Have 2 input sources English and Russian. Typing message in the bottom textbox and pressing Enter to submit while on Russian keyboard layout. Nothing happens. Switching on English - Enter sends message. Same problem with Gmail search over mails.
Reproduced on Firefox, Chromium, Google Chrome last versions. Also tried on pre-installed 16.04 LTS - Enter works just fine on any keyboard layout (rus, en).
The problem is also discussed here. According to it, problem occurs on Debian also, browser is not important. The important thing is keyboard layout - non English.
Any solutions?
