Unable to load windows 8.1 from grub menu in dual boot
I have installed ubuntu 16.04 having windows 8.1. After successful installation my pc was directly loading ubuntu without showing grub menu. When i ran boot repair it now shows grub menu with windows 8.1 option but when I am choosing windows 8.1 it just shows "error: no such partition press any key to continue". The windows files are there in the disk but unable to boot. What is the solution to this??

If both systems are UEFI (or both BIOS), then grub will offer to boot Windows. But grub only boots working Windows, or Windows that is not hibernated nor needs chkdsk. And fast start up turns on hibernation flag, so grub will not boot it. Directly boot Windows from UEFI boot menu & turn off fast start up or make other repairs. Details: askubuntu.com/questions/843153/… Note that Windows with some updates will turn fast start up back on, or reset UEFI settings which you may need to change again.
