Why does Ubuntu 18.04.2 have issues with my laptop's battery?
I have an Asus X552CL laptop with two partitions (Ubuntu 18.04.2 and Windows 8.1) and I only get battery problems while using the Ubuntu one. The battery is drained way faster and the laptop turns itself off while it's supposed to still have some charge left (if I connect it to the AC and turn it on the indicator shows "28% charged"). Also, it does not turn itself off. how it should (the OS first, then the laptop, to avoid damage) but it happens without warnings. Like it would happen if I had a PC connected only to the current, without a battery, and then I just pulled the plug while it's on.
With Ubuntu 16.04 I did not have those problems, and the system first warned me and then turned itself off correctly or went into hibernation mode when the battery level was low. Why do I have these issues with the new version?
