Windows Folder permissons - with no change
I need to setup folder permissions on a server as follows:
- The folder must be shared and available over the network.
- A group is to be setup specifying the permissions for the users.
- Users should be able to create a text file and save it in the folder.
- Users should be able to see and read the text file in the folder
- Users should not be able to delete or modify (this is the important part) the text file once in the folder.
Not sure how exactly to do this, since the file would be "owned" by the user when placed into the folder. Perhaps deny Change in special permissions?

Humm... that does not sound right. If I deny Delete, then, even if they have Write they won't be able to delete the file.

:-) Yes, it works with delete, but delete is not the issue, it is change.
