Query on SQL transaction

0

I got the below question in an online exam. The question is:

You are connected to an SQL database and are issuing DML statements. You want to be able to undo the first set of statements you have done so far, but you also want to start a new series of statements which you would be able to undo separately fro the first set.

Based on the above scenario, how do you achieve the DB requirements?

Options:

  1. Instruct the DB to save future changes in a different log file.

  2. Instruct the server to create a new session

  3. Instruct the DB to begin a new transaction

  4. Instruct the DB to checkpoint your work so far

  5. Instruct the DB to create a savepoint

I went with the 5th one as I thought creating a new session, transaction are unnecessary overload. savepoint can be used to rollback to a point to undo the recent modification.

Please correct me if am wrong.
