I'm stuck in initramfs with “PKCS#7 signature not signed with a trusted key” alerts and can't get out

0

think it happened because my update was interrupted but when I try to start Ubuntu I get booted to a black screen with white text and an initramfs command line. I get an alert that says "PKCS#7 signature not signed with a trusted key". A few posts say to use apt and Sudo commands to purge a Nvidia file but those commands don't work. I got no clue what to do. At this point I just want to recover my data somehow.!

Yeah that used to be my post, didn't know you could also post images so here we are again. The Linked solution tells me to go to the recovery console but when I do that I'm taken here again

  • You may have more than one problem here. First try disabling secure boot in your BIOS, and try to boot again. If that doesn't help, boot to a Ubuntu Live DVD/USB, open a terminal and type sudo blkid and look if you see a UUID like what is called out on your screen... you may have a hard disk problem, or a /etc/fstab problem.
