Install OS on single SSD and /home partition on two HDD in RAID 1
I'm planning to install Ubuntu 18.04 on my PC.
I have one 120GB SSD on which I would like to install all the OS partitions including SWAP and two 500 GB HDD that I would like to use for the /home partition in RAID 1.
Is this configuration possible?
I've installed before Ubuntu in RAID 1 on another machine, installing all the OS on the two RAID'd disks, but I need some advice on how to proceed, how to configure partitions from Ubuntu installer, and any other advice it comes in mind to you.
It seems, that my motherboard ASUS P8Z77-V LX2 allows creating RAID 1 directly from BIOS (hardware RAID, I suppose). Is configuring RAID directly from mobo a more affordable method?
