I have a router (ASUS RT-N12 D1) that has two detachable 5dB antennas. I use it as an wi-fi extender (see the drawing). I want to move the main router 3-500 m away in a different building, that I can see from my window.

The question is: If I unscrew both the 5dB antennas and replace just one of them with a Yagi, will the router double the power injected in this Yagi or in any other compatible antenna left alone?
If the radiated power of each antenna is P, then will leaving the router with only one antenna increase the power radiated by this single antenna to 2P or not?

What do you want more? I specified what router I have: ASUS RT-N12 D1. The question is crystal clear. What exactly you do not understand?
