I am planning to buy a graphic card because i want to play GTA 5 on low settings.
Would 1GB of VRAM be enough just to play it on low? Or do I need more?

The amount of memory in a graphic card isn't of primary importance. You can have a good 1 GB card and a poor 2 GB card. What is important is the performance of the card but unfortunately there is no one number that describes that.

@LMiller7 - The more VRAM a system has the better GTA 5 will run. That statement is also true for most AAA titles.
