Ubuntu 18.04 boots to black screen then reloads BIOS

0

I recently rebuilt my PC and have two 250gb SSDs. I have Windows 10 installed on my main SSD, and completed the installation of Ubuntu 18.04 on the secondary SSD. After receiving the message to reboot the machine after the installation, I removed the bootable USB used for the install, reboot into my BIOS, navigate the the proper window, and then boot from the Ubuntu SSD. When I do this, the screen goes black for a split second, before reloading the BIOS page I had navigated to.

I've seen posts about the screen going black after an Ubuntu install/update, but I haven't noticed anything about the Ubuntu disk reloading the BIOS like this. If anyone has any advice on how I can tackle this I'd greatly appreciate it, and please let me know if there's more information needed by me to troubleshoot.
