VLC 3.0.x unable to render video for raw RGB color format with negative resolution

0

I'm working on PCI based FPGA device on windows platform. VLC version 3.0 shows very high resolution for RGB24 with 1920 x 1080. microsoft link "For uncompressed RGB bitmaps, if biHeight is positive, the bitmap is a bottom-up DIB with the origin at the lower left corner. If biHeight is negative, the bitmap is a top-down DIB with the origin at the upper left corner.

For compressed formats, biHeight must be positive, regardless of image orientation." I'm using raw video of RGB, hence direct show driver gives negative biHeight, because of this VLC ver3.0 shows very high resolution. However, VLC version 2.1.5 shows proper resolution for same driver.enter image description here

Questions:

Why VLC 3.0.4/3.0.6 shows very high resolution for RGB24. However same driver works with vlc 2.1.5.
