Ubuntu 18.04 opening setting logs me out

I'm having two different problems that I can't find a way to fix. Maybe you can help me.

The first one, not a big dead but quite annoying, the login screen lags like hell. I can barely move the mouse cursor.

The second one, when I try to open the system setting Ubuntu logs me out.

Maybe I can provide some kind of log or something like that but I'm kind of new to Ubuntu and I don't know how to do it.

I would really appreciate some help.

Cheers!
Adrian.
