Instagram messages can only be accessed using their official app (currently available for android, iOS and Windows platform). There is no option to access them using a website. And bluestacks is an android emulator for Windows which will ultimately use Instagram android app. So, an emulator is required to use Instagram Direct Message. And considering this, this might help you: What Android emulators are available?. Moreover this question seem to do nothing with Ubuntu, hence off-topic here.
