Windows 10 search results “double” wide

I am having problems with my Windows 10 search result window (the window you get by pressing windows and then starting to type stuff), TLDR its twice as wide as I have seen on any other windows system ever, and the extra space is filled up by what appears to be an Edge Bing search embedded into the side.
Here is what it looks like.
I am use to It looking like this and it has appeared like that on every win 10 I have ever used. What is causing this problem? And how do I fix it?
version is
Windows 10 Pro 10.0.17763
A list of all installed programs is available on request, this is a relatively new install so it is "short"
