ACER aspire 5750g new SSD not detected in Bios

0

I just installed a new SSD in the DVD slot and everything is fine, I just initialized and all, then I tried to install a Linux Distro that went ok. But when I tried to boot, my ssd is not recognized at all, not even in the BIOS, same thing when I tried with Windows.

Should I format my HDD after cloning the OS on the SSD or I can try something else?

  • If it isn't recognized at BIOS (or UEFI) then 1) nothing was installed there and 2) there's nothing you can do from either OS. Please check the connections or the adapter itself.
