Dual Boot Ubuntu and OS2
Can I install a second OS on an existing Ubuntu (18.04 LTS) system the second OS will be OS2 (ArcaOS 5.0.3). My concern is the compatibility of Ubuntu using LBA addressing and OS2 using CHS addressing. I would like to install OS2 into Sda2 and format the partition using the utility in OS2, my concern is whether this formating of Sda2 will write information to the MBR that will interfere with Grub.
My second question is will Grub then be able to boot the OS2 partition and were will I find an explanation of the steps to follow to update Grub. If Grub cannot boot OS2 then I assume I would need to move Grub to Sda1 and use a utility like Air Boot to boot Ubuntu and OS2, if so how do I move Grub.
Thanks I have run Red Hat as dual boot with older versions of OS2 but using the IBM boot manager. The SATA drive is partitioned as follows.
Sda: boot loader, Grub
Sda1: Ubuntu 18.04, primary, ext4, mounted root
Sda2: primary intended for OS2
Sda3: logical, future ext4, /future, not used presently
Sda4: swap
Sda5: logical for data storage
Sda: free space

I haven't used OS/2 in a lot of years, but I did use it together with GNU/Linux (so long ago I don't remember what), and believegrub
would work with it using chainload (I used grub, but may not have been grub2) - help.ubuntu.com/community/MultiOSBoot. I can't speak to partitioning (I had my OS/2 on a separate drive in my dualboot)
