Has stereo mix really disappeared from Surface Pro / Windows 10?
I cannot find stereo mix anywhere on my surface pro (5). Looking on Internet, seems people have same problem https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/forum/surfpro4-surfmusic/how-can-i-enable-stereo-mix-of-a-surface-pro-4/4b350d9b-8c26-4d25-82cc-668254498b4e
But there seems no answer. I can't believe a 1500$ device can't have what cheapest PC has. So is this true: there is no way to record audio from pc on surface pro ?

If it has a single microphone, it probably doesn't see anything to mix, therefore disables it. Sound options are available by what hardware is installed. Not all PCs have that option without the proper hardware. Are you using an external recording device or additional microphones? Maybe if you explain what you are trying to accomplish, we can offer some solutions. You tagged Audacity but did not say anything in your post.
