How do you install a theme from github on 18.04?

I have downloaded the zip and put it in /.local/share/themes but I don't see a .deb file to run. How do I install it? I'm not a COMPLETE noob so I can run some terminal commands.

Did you put the.zipfile itself in~/.local/share/themesor extracted its contents? What's the output ofls ~/.local/share/themes/?
