Install Windows on detachable HDD [closed]

So I have a Haier Laptop Model Y11B which is detachable. It's internal SSD (in the tablet) is only 32 GB which is no where near enough. On trying to install Windows on the HDD, the installer shows the following error:

Windows cannot be installed to this disk. Setup does not support configuration of or installation to disks connected through a USB or IEEE 1394 port.

Is there a way to install windows on laptop's HDD as I can't install the major software in this limited memory.

  • If you want to create a Windows To Go installation you have to use Rufus instead of the Windows installation environment
