I was trying to clear some space on my samsung s7 sd card by transferring pictures from my phone to my computer which i have NO PROBLEM in the past!!! these suddenly become compressed files when i try to transfer this time. it noted that the pictures i transferred were 19GB each and compressed into a 4byte pictures (all 1700 pictures)! maybe it is because my computer has no space, so i cleared some space on my computer to decompress the file - I COULD NOT OPEN IT!!! WHAT HAPPENED? it is 1700 pictures --- 4 months worth of pictures. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE!! i need my pictures back! i hope someone here can help! thanks!

  • You are most likely infected with ransomware. Good luck if you have no backups.
