Ubuntu Screen freeze but backroung process working

0

I am experiencing something really weird. When using my newly build PC, randomly my screen freezes, Keyboard and mouse stop responding, however i can still hear the sound coming from the process i was running. I initially saw this when I was playing Saints Row 2 via Steam, so randomly game would get stuck(mostly when i opened map using TAB) but i can still hear the ingame sounds, background music, cars honking... I thought it must be a game bug. This continued to happen at times even when i was just browsing. I thought multiple tabs must be causing this. Today it got just weirder, it froze when i was just watching a movie, so the sound playback was going on but picture froze to a single frame. As usual Keyboard and Mouse didn't respond and I had to do a manual restart. This happened back to back within a span of 5 minutes which is annoying me.

I am using ubuntu 18.04 on a Ryzen 3, 2200g with single channel 8gb memory, a 240GB SSD on a B450 motherboard.
