MS Excel Undo works across all open documents, how to fix it?

Consider I have opened and working on more than one excel sheet, and in Book1 > sheet1 I have made some changes(add remove delete), later I did again some changes in Book2 > sheet2. Now if I move to Book1 and press CTRL + Z the changes which I have made in Book2 were reverted, but my expectation was changes should revert in Book1 since I'm in Book1.

I'm seeing this in 2013 version, is there any solution to fix this problem.

  • Undo has Excel.Application scope. You cannot do something with this fact.

it's not broken, so there is no 'fix' - it is intentional design. Although it annoys me too often enough.
