DNS resolution VMWare for Linux host
VMWare version 15.
Ubuntu Linux host, Windows 10 guest
Windows 10 is DHCP issued by Host-Only adapter, e.g 192.168.127.129, the gateway is 192.168.127.1 but my understanding is that there is no DNS resolution on VMWare for Host-Only??
so I have a DNS package on Linux (bind9) so how to point to that from the VMWare guest, so I can use the resolution from that and consequently apply to all the guests??
Thanks

Create two virtual interface, one with NAT and another with Host-Only.

thanks Biswapriyo - i reread my initial post and perhaps should have said that the linux bind9 package is running on the host so is not another server i can reach out too - my understanding was that Host-Only is a two way comms between guest and host, but the guest only allows a "DNS setting" of xxx.xxx.xxx.1 (where x represent your HO network setting, as stated in ipconfig) - if i look in the conf files for bind9 it says it is running on 127.0.0.53, so how to get to that from the guest or can i specify it as a alternative hard code DNS in guest as opposed to one assigned by DHCP? makes sense?
