I want to put a partition with ubuntu on a windows 10 pc; I'm following a guide but when i boot the usb with the .iso file instead of starting ubuntu a line with "grub>" appears. What do i have to write there to continue?

  • I suspect the write-to-thumb-drive failed (either that or the download failed and you wrote a corrupt iso to your thumb drive). Did you verify your download? (see help.ubuntu.com/community/VerifyIsoHowto) or I'd suggest trying it on another PC & if you get the same result, try writing it again, or use another method (ie. I suspect your write to thumb-drive failed).

  • You wrote "when i boot the usb with the .iso file" do you mean you have copied the .iso file on the USB?
