Power usage on windows vs linux based OS's
do some operating systems require less power than others?
i would assume they do because some OS's use less resources (RAM, CPU, GPU) than others, thus using less power?
let's say i installed ubuntu on my lenovo T450 laptop, would it use less power from the battery than windows 10 would?

The application program(s) that you choose to run (rather than the OS) would have a far larger influence on power consumption.
