Unable to View Log in Fuslogvw
I am not able to view the log in Fuslogvw. I launch the tool from an Administrator command prompt and see this:
Screenshot of the main interface for Fuslogvw
Clicking on the Settings button, I set the tool to "Log all binds to disk", and check "Enable custom log path". The Custom log path field is set to C:TEMP, which does indeed exist. I click Okay and return to the main interface.
Now there are six applications listed:
- Microsoft.VisualStudio.WebClient.Diagnostics
- Microsoft.VisualStudio.Web
- Microsoft.VisualStudio
- Microsoft
- Microsoft
- JetBrains.ReSharper.Refactorings
When I click on any of them, and select View Log, I get essentially the same error:
"Windows cannot find
'C:TEMPdevenv.exeFusionBindError!exe=devenv.exe!name=Microsoft.VisualStudio.htm'.
Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again."
Screenshot of Fuslogvw error
It seems to be saying that it cannot find devenv.exe in the TEMP directory. But, of course, that isn't where devenv.exe is located. I don't know why it would expect to find it there. I can launch devenv from the command line, which launches Visual Studio.
I would like to understand how to fix this issue so that I can use fuslogvw to diagnose TypeLoadExceptions.
