Set a normal key as a control key and let it not repeat input for one push

I want to use <MUHE>
key (there is under the X and C on my keyboard) as Control_L
but the default setting is Muhenkan
. So I changed /usr/share/X11/xkb/inet
(there is setting for <MUHE>
) and set <MUHE>
as Control_L
. However, it doesn't work properly. I tested it on this site: http://www.keyboardtester.com/ and I recognized that the original control key works like if it is pushed, it emits signal and until released it will never emit signal (sounds like tr (released)
). But the <MUHE>
key, I assigned Control_L
, emits signal like normal alphabetical keys. It emits signal many times for one long pressing (sounds like tr trrrrrrrrrrrrrrr(released)
). How can I avoid this behavior and let it be like the real control key?
My environment is:
Ubuntu 18.04,
Japanese keyboard (106/109?)
keyboard keyboard-layout xkb
