Is it possible to reference a single source of text in AutoCAD 2018?

I need a single source of text; preferably a table or something embedded in the drawing itself (so I can easily share the dxf file).
I need to display that text on multiple places of the drawing, so I want to edit the single source and automatically update all displayed texts.
I searched in Autocad fields, but they can't take text data from tables, (only numbers), or database queries.
If not possible to query embedded data on the dxf file, then linking to another type of file should be the next best thing.
I saw that is possible to link to Excel spreadsheets, but found no info on if is possible to display the text from a spreadsheet.
I also used DataExtraction command to make a table from many MText sources, but it looks like it is uni-directional (from MText to table), and I need the opposite (from table to multiple MText, and flexible to changes in the table, like adding rows and not having the links broken)
My objective is to reduce maintenance of all those texts by editing the text on a single place, preferably some kind of table.
I have vanilla AutoCAD 2018 (not AutoCAD Map or Civil or Architectural)
